Kate Freuler has practiced witchcraft for over twenty-five years. She has written for Llewellyn's Magical Almanac, Sabbats Almanac, and Spell-A-Day Almanac. Kate owns and operates an online store called White Moon Witchcraft. She lives in Ontario.


Lupa (Portland, OR) is a neoshaman, artist and sustainability geek. She has been working with animal magic in various forms since the 1990s and has developed a self-created and spirit-directed neoshamanic path. Stephanie Rose Bird is a hereditary intuitive, contemporary rootworker, solitary green witch and visionary. She has been involved with mysticism, symbology, spiritualism and the occult for thirty years. Bird is inspired by her ancestors, in particular her grandmothers, one of which was a psychic and the other a spiritualist minister and herbal healer. Her uncle, a Santeria priest, Babalawo of Shango, taught her the Ifa traditions of the Yoruba people. Bird studies healing, magical and divination traditions of indigenous people around the world with a focus on Africa. Her passions include keeping the ancient traditions alive and updating them so that they evolve with us, suiting our current environment and lifestyles. She is a member of the American Folklore Soceity, the Herb Research Foundation and the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild.

Bird holds a BFA cum laude from Temple University, Tyler School of Art, and an MFA from University of California at San Diego, and has received multiple academic awards. Bird was an assistant professor at the School of the Art Institute of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1987-2002. Bird offers healing workshops, rituals, retreats, and classes across the country. Bird is an active arts educator, teaching undergraduate art appreciation and art history in Chicago, giving lectures, conducting goddess rituals, and writing for numerous publications. Astrea Taylor (Dayton, OH) is an author, witch, and fire dancer. She is also a blogger for Patheos Pagan and owns a business called The Blessed Be Box that sells a “ritual in a box” for the solstices, equinoxes, and cross-quarter holidays.


Sasha Graham is the bestselling author of over ten books and tarot kits, including 365 Tarot Spreads, Llewellyn's Complete Book of the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot, and Dark Wood Tarot. She teaches tarot classes and produces tarot events at New York City's premier cultural institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Sasha has appeared on film, television, radio, and in the New York Times.


Natalie Zaman is the author of Color and Conjure and Magical Destinations of the Northeast (Llewellyn); the co-author of Sirenz (Flux), Sirenz Back In Fashion (Flux), and Blonde Ops (Thomas Dunne Books); and is a contributor to various Llewellyn annual publications.


Monica Crosson has been a practicing witch and educator for over thirty years and is a member of Evergreen Coven. Monica is the author of The Magickal Family and is a regular contributor to Llewellyn's almanacs and datebooks as well as magazines such as Enchanted Living and Witchology. Monica lives in the woods near Concrete, Washington.


Kelden (Minnesota) has been practicing Traditional Witchcraft for more than a decade. His writing has appeared in The Witch's Altar, The New Aradia: A Witch's Handbook to Magical Resistance, and Modern Witch magazine. Additionally, Kelden is the cocreator of The Traditional Witch's Deck and he authors a blog on the Patheos Pagan channel called By Athame and Stang.


Raechel Henderson is a Pagan and witch, following an eclectic and independent path. She currently works with Hestia and Turtle in her magical practice. She contributes articles to Llewellyn’s almanacs and calendars and she blogs about magic, creativity, and living by your own patterns. Raechel is a dual class seamstress/shieldmaiden and has been sewing professionally since 2008. She is also the author of Sew Witchy (Llewellyn, 2018). Raechel lives in Chicago.


Michael Furie (Northern California) is the author of Supermarket Sabbats, Spellcasting for Beginners, Supermarket Magic, Spellcasting: Beyond the Basics, and more, all from Llewellyn Worldwide. A practicing Witch for more than twenty years, he is a priest of the Cailleach.


H. Byron Ballard, BA, MFA (Asheville, NC) is a western NC native, teacher, folklorist, and writer. She has served as a featured speaker and teacher at several festivals and conferences, including the Sacred Space Conference, Pagan Spirit Gathering, Starwood, Hexfest and many others. She serves as senior priestess and co-founder of Mother Grove Goddess Temple and the Coalition of Earth Religions/CERES, both in Asheville, NC. JD Hortwort (Greensboro, NC) is the vice chancellor of the House of Akasha, a North Carolina pagan group. A former business journalist, she writes a weekly garden column for The Courier Tribune and she has contributed dozens of articles to Llewellyn's almanacs.


Daniel Moler is a writer, artist, educator, and shamanic practitioner. Trained in multiple spiritual disciplines, Daniel uses the art of shamanic healing to help others during times of transition and transformation. In order to provide the most holistic healing environment, he works within a wide variety of modalities including energy healing, curanderismo, herbalism, Zen, and Hermetic alchemy via the Holy Qabalah. Stephanie Woodfield (Orlando, FL) has been a practicing Pagan for the past twenty years. A devotional polytheist, teacher, and Priestess of the Morrigan, she is one of the founding members of Morrigu's Daughters and is an organizer for several Pagan gatherings. Diana Rajchel began her career planning to serve as clergy and write about all subjects spiritual. It did not occur to her or anyone else to say with what agency she might assume priesthood. The result of this oversight in intention setting is that she is now an itinerant city priestess, well-practiced witch, and somewhat unintentional subversive. Her background includes Wicca, folk witchcraft, conjure, and a whole lot of experience organizing people that don’t like knowing that they’re organized. Danielle Blackwood has studied and practiced astrology for more than thirty years. She is certified in the Principles and Practice of Contemporary Psychological Astrology through her teacher, world renowned astrologer and author Erin Sullivan. Danielle is also a registered counseling therapist (RCT), specializing in working with women in the areas of self-esteem, sexuality, body image, life transitions, and cultivating a connection with the sacred feminine through personalised rites of passage ceremony. Danielle encourages clients all over the world to live a life of authenticity and radical self-acceptance, helping them find meaning on their journey and consciously reframe their stories through an archetypal lens. Mickie Mueller (Missouri) explores magic and spirituality through art and the written word. She includes magical herbal washes in her art that correspond with the subject, making every piece enchanted. She is the author/illustrator of The Voice of the Trees; the illustrator of The Mystical Cats Tarot; and author of The Witch's Mirror and Llewellyn's Little Book of Halloween.
